        Nedanstående information är hämtad från Immigration Office i Aran (Poi Pet på den Kambodjanska sidan):

        Please beware of a person who claims to render assistance in visa extension at immigration bureau. Such act is illegal.

        – Any inquiry or witness any act relating to such matter please contact gensuwat_tm@yahoo.com

        – If you wish to stay in Thailand after your visa has expired, contact the nearest immigration unit in person for advice.

        – Do not belive those who claim that they can assist you to get immigration stamps without actual travel in and out of the kingdom. Such act is illegal and you will be prosecuted in accordance with immigration law.


        Overstayers can pay overstay fine at Aran immigration checkpoint.

        – Note: If you have paid the overstay fine and are stamped out of Thailand, the Cambodian Immigration could reject entry and send you back to Thailand without stamping you in and out of Cambodia. In this case the Thai Immigration will have to send you to Immigration Bureau in Bangkok for investigation/interrogation/deportation.

        – Cambodian Immigration could reject entry for different reasons. This is nothing to do with Thai Immigration.

        *** Please note that if you are on the way to the border, police or immigration officers can check your passport, and if you are found to have overstayed your visa they will arrest you and send you to the nearest police station, and then to court.


        WARNING!

        – Foreigners travelling from Cambodia to Thailand through Khlong Luek border pass cannot obtain visa on arrival at this point of entry.

        – Visa that have not been obtained by the traveller personally are considered incomplete documents. The passport holder will not be allowed to stay in Thailand according to the visa but only according to the rights of the nationality of the passport holder.

        – Foreigners crossing into Thailand from Cambodia must have valid a exit stamp from the Cambodian immigration authorities in their passport.

        – Foreigners entering Thailand without having their travel documents checked will be considered illegal immigrants and are subject to prosecution according to Thai immigration laws.

          Jag kan säga det att jag känner en kille väldigt bra ( :drunken: ) som skickade sitt pass över gränsen. Kuriren åkte dit och alla pass beslagtogs tror jag, eller så sålde de passen på svarta marknaden. Svårt att anmäla dem.

          Det var en av hans vänners flickvän som var själva agenten. En i kedjan.

          Det var lite knepigt för killen att anmäla förkommet pass hos den thailändska polismyndigheten men det gick. Han lyckades sedan få nytt svenskt pass, inte helt utan armsvett.
