Min favoriträtt är som de flesta vet Padkraprao. Tyvärr blir det många resor in till stan där man ska köpa basilikan som blir dålig ganska snabbt. Är det möjligt att frysa in den?
Tanten i thaiaffären säger att det inte går, frugan säger samma sak. Sen ser jag att COOP säljer fryst basilika….kanske inte bra men ändå. den frysta broccolin är hur bra som helst enligt min fru.
Did you know you can freeze holy basil? Well, i do. I did a trial run from the last bunch i bought and only the other day i took some out of the bag and they’re still really good. I have to freeze them cos they’re not available that often here. I just pick the leaves, put in a freezer bag and leave some air in the bag so the leaves can move freely, then pop it in the freezer. Only taking as much as you need from the bag the second you need them.
Min fru fryser in holy basil det mesta funkar faktiskt bra limeblad, citongräs, chilli, koriander. Inget fel på smaken, bara konsistensen som blir lite sladdrig.
